DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Annual General Meeting for the Save Our Old Forests (SOOF) Association has been scheduled for Thursday\, April 23\, 2026 at 7:00pm.   The AGM is an opportunity for Members of the nonprofit association to hear from the SOOF Board about the activities over the last year\, plans for 2026 and the annual financial report.  Only active Voting Members will be able to vote on matters put forward at the AGM.  If you would like to become a Voting Member please see our Get Involved page for more information.  \nVoting Members will receive an invitation by email in early April with the option to join in-person or online.  Only those that indicate online will receive the link to the Microsoft Teams meeting.  The invitation will be sent in early April to Voting Members. \nMembers are welcome to stay for an informal conversation with Board members following the AGM.

DESCRIPTION:Practice self-care and connect with nature in community as an act of rebellion! \nThe climate crisis and other important challenges can make the times we live in feel tough and uncertain. For concerned community members\, advocates and volunteers\, it can be hard to balance action\, life’s responsibilities and self care. We can often feel overwhelmed\, exhausted and anxious. \nJoin local Nature Therapist\, Wil Brunner and Mindfulness Meditation Teacher\, Heron Payne for an afternoon of wellness practices and connection with nature and community. DESCRIPTION:Discover the beauty of nature….  \nJoin SOOF and Citizen Scientists for an afternoon of art in the forest! Help create a living art show featuring bark\, lichens\, mosses — whatever catches your eye — in the forest near Camp NOW in the Goldsmith Lake Wilderness Area.  Participants will be given a vintage frame (or two) and sent into the woods to find the perfect spot to hang their frame — or lay it on the ground. Musicians Karen Achenbach and Carolyn Buck will be playing to inspire you.  Painters will be painting here and there.
