Medicinal Plant Walk – with Ember Peters
Join Registered Clinical Herbalist Ember Peters (RHP) for an exploration of wild medicinal plants growing in the mature ecosystems around Goldsmith. Through this walk we will weave together sustainable wild harvesting, plant identification tips, and learning through your own sensory observation. By learning to honour the plant medicines, we can inspire our spirits of community resistance and resilience!
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. If you are signing up for a family or group we ask you to submit one form for each person that will be attending.
ABOUT EMBER: Ember Peters (they/them) is a clinical herbalist and educator with over a decade experience as a clinical herbalist and educator, and 20 years experience community organizing in struggles for liberation and land defense. They see decolonial land stewardship as a crucial part of collective resistance and resilience. For Ember, herbal medicine is about growing empowering, holistic, integrative community healthcare and being in reciprocal relationship with our ecosystem. Ember is a Registered Herbal Practitioner with the Herbalist Association of Nova Scotia (HANS) and a co-founder of the Maritime School of Holistic Herbalism where they teach a year-long intermediate herbal program.
ACCESSIBILITY: The walk will take place on uneven terrain in the woods – there will be lots of tree stumps, and other natural obstacles.

We require all participants (or their legal guardians) to complete, sign and date the waiver before they can participate in the workshop.
