Join Save Our Old Forests and guest speaker Keith Egger at the Goldsmith Lake Wilderness Area to learn about the about the importance of fungi in the forest. Keith will be acting as our guide and sharing his knowledge about the astonishing range of fungal diversity and their roles in the environment as decomposers, pathogens and mycorrhizal symbionts with forest trees. Over the last few years Keith has been collecting fungi samples to help document the biodiversity at the Goldsmith Lake Wilderness Area.
Please note this is not a foraging workshop for edible mushrooms – the focus is on fungal diversity and ecology.
